MENTORING/ DISCIPLESHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Throughout the week we have different time slots where we mentor and disciple individuals or work with groups of young people. This can be supporting them spiritually, educationally, behaviourally or emotionally.

We also have a Young Leaders Stream where we help young people grow in their leadership, they serve on a team and get leadership investment.

Keeping young people safe online

Dear Parents/Carers

Hope you are all well in the midst of the craziness. Just wanted to say we are praying for your family. We are building connections with your young people online and helping to create healthy content and communities for the young people to be part of.

But as we increase our online presence in a good way there are also opportunities for people to use online platforms in a bad way and we want to provide you with some resources just for you to look at to help keep your young person safe online.

The NSPCC give general online safety and have different areas for young people and adults. It has a place to report anything you feel unhappy with.

www.nspcc.org.uk/keeping-children-safe/online-safety/

Think u know is more focused around sexual content and sexual exploitation and how young people can be groomed online and where to report any concerns. This again has a platform for parents/carers as well as young people.

The children's society also offer an advice hub which covers everything from online safety, mental health and just gives a space to provide online information

https://www.childrenssociety.org.uk/advice-hub

We are aware that at times young people can have difficulties and this is just some advice if your young person goes missing.

We want to support you and not scare you so please see this as some information for you to consider. No family or young person is exempt from these things.

If you have any questions or concerns please do get in touch with us and we will be more than happy to help.
